About the Artwork:
I painted this piece at a music and self expression camping festival that’s very special to me.
Eyes have always fascinated me and have been a frequent theme of my artworks. Whenever my consciousness is expanded and I am out in nature, something that becomes apparent to me is the eyes that form themselves out of the tree bark; a reminder that everything we think of as inanimate in our environments are “watching” in some way, present, and conscious here with us.
As the eyes in this piece sprout out of the abstract, it is a reminder that we all share the same essence and were pieced together from this vast, infinite something and get to be points of witness to ourselves. We are the universe playing, expressing, and looking upon itself.
Canvas is finished with paper backing, hanging wire, and finished edges for immediate hanging.
