Reiki means, “universal life force energy” and is an ancient Japanese energy healing method. Along with being great for stress reduction and relaxation, it also promotes physical healing and the releasing of repressed energy. It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us, along with animals and plants, to be alive and thrive.

Reiki works by channeling life force energy through the practitioner's hands to the recipient. This energy flows through the body, helping to dissolve energy blockages and release repressed emotions and energy. By clearing these blockages, Reiki promotes the natural flow of energy, which enhances physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
In addition, there is an innate intelligence with Reiki, whether it be through the energy itself or working with our bodies, with knowing where within us needs healing! We can set intentions, and at the same time the energy knows where it needs to go on its own.

You might feel a comforting tingling, warming, or cooling sensation from the energy. You might not feel anything, and that's okay too! It's also natural for emotions to surface, so I encourage you to let it out!

Awesome enough, energy exchange is not dependent on physical location or time, which allows you to receive the healing energy through the video as if I, the Reiki practitioner, was in the same room with you! This way, you can receive healing whenever is convenient for you and however often you like. All you need to do is get comfortable and pop the video on to receive the energy!

Reiki is generally safe and gentle, with few known side effects. As my Reiki teacher puts it, Reiki can "do no harm." However, some people may experience mild symptoms from the repressed energy within their body releasing and making its way out, such as:
Short-term fatigue : You might feel tired and depleted of energy shortly following a session as your body adjusts to the new energy
Physical symptoms: As your vibration increases, toxins and stored energy may start to be filtered out by your body causing physical symptoms such as headache, body aches, change in digestion, etc. This is natural and usually very short term. To help your body cleanse itself, you can try drinking more water, eating lighter meals, and getting more rest.
